Currently England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are using
various models.
There are no plans to revoke the previous licences. The old licences
are still valid until their expiry dates or until it’s necessary to
make data changes.

the front plate and yellow background on the rear plate; in usefrom 1

From 1 September 2001 a new European-style number plate has been
introduced. European-style number plate incorporates the symbol of the
European Union (a circle of 12 stars on a blue background) with an
identification letters of the Member States of the United Kingdom.
Front number plate is white with black characters while rear number
plate is yellow with same black characters. |

INSURANCE COVERAGE

Vehicles registered in this State are EXEMPTED from the liability insurance and

From 01.09.2009,
gradually, in this state was issued
biometric identity card.
For problems
of a political nature, the current government has decided to stop
the project, so with a specific legislative provision, from
21.01.2011 documents already issued lose value and cannot be used
anymore.
